This Wednesday we had another successful Hot Lunch here at Faith! The turnout was great and we had the opportunity to hear from two of our interns about the work we’ve been doing in the garden and in the community. Our menu this week has consisted a variety of delicious dishes including peas, chicken, and coleslaw. The star of the show was the pasta salad complete with tons of veggies including tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, onion, and zucchini. Our conclusion was a delicious peach and rhubarb crisp! If you would like to join us, keep in mind that Hot Lunches start at 11:30 AM on the last Wednesday of every month.
Today at Faith we gathered together for a Hot Lunch! The menu this time consisted of delicious vegetarian chili with lots of slaw and salad. For dessert we had excellent strawberry rhubarb crisp, with rhubarb straight from the garden! While dessert was served, we enjoyed our presentation and a chalk drawing about community. The theme reflected that community is the coalescence of faith, hope, and love. Thanks to all who made it out, and we hope all can come again!
An enjoyable lasagna hot lunch with salad was enjoyed while watching slides from our recent visit to Jordan and the Holy Land. The refugee camp was an unforgettable experience especially during Holy week. All donations received were donated to Canadian Lutheran World Relief with dedication to Most Urgent Needs: Africa children’s nutrition. Haven’t enjoyed a Hot Lunch yet? Join us April 25 at 11:30 1907 King Street East at Rosedale.
